This piece is turned from a piece of big leaf maple which grows only in the American Northwest and the Southwest of Ontario Canada. It has a very distinctive and prominent grain. This bud vase has 4 coats of finish on the outside but is unfinished on the interior as it is intended to be use for dried floral arrangements. The opening at the top is 1 3/16” wide to allow adding sand or small river rocks for added ballast
