#1682 & 1683 Matched Pair Walnut Pepper and Salt Mills

These two matched mills are both turned from walnut. Each are identified as to their contents by letters on the top of the metal knobs but conveniently, the salt mill has a broad white band through the grain for easier identification. To fill, it is a simple matter to unscrew the metal knob at the top. Lift the shaped lid and pour in the appropriate seasoning. The difference between the two are the grinding heads at the bottom of the mill. Metal is for pepper and white ceramic is for salt. Salt will severely corrode the metal. If needed, the exterior of the mills can be simply wiped clean with warm soapy water.
