This urn was turned from 2 pieces of maple: one for the body and the second for the lid. When closed, they are connected with threaded brass inserts epoxied to each piece allowing for a snug fit. The urn has a capacity of approximately 185 cubic inches to contain ashes. The exterior has been coated with 4 coats of a tung oil finish and the flaw in the lid has been filed with crushed malachite inlay.. A handsome piece to remember a loved one.
