This stunning bowl is turned from a piece of Big Leaf Maple Burl. Big Leaf Maple only grows in the Great Northwest so it is not commonly seen outside of that area. The grain is more pronounced in this piece than usual as it is a burl. This is definitely a “one of a kind” bowl
The bowl has been coated with four coats of food - safe polyurethane finish so it can be used as a serving bowl if you wish or as a display piece. If it is used, hand wash it in warm soapy water, rinse and dry but do not leave it in water to soak. It is not dishwasher safe nor is it microwavable. It should not be used for extended storage and wooden or plastic utensils should be used.
