The very thin wall thickness at the rim is a bit fragile so care must be used if using it for a flower arrangement. The finish used on this piece is not for extended exposure to water so either a glass or plastic liner is necessary if the plan is to use this piece for a live flower arrangement. In the event water is spilled from the container, the water should be removed from the vase and the container replaced.
