3 1/2” W X 9 1/4” Tall Big leaf Maple is a species of maple that only grows in the Great Northwest US and Canada so it is not usually seen on the East coast The distinctive grain sets it off from local maple. The tung oil finish used on this piece provides a bright finish that does not require additional oiling as with natural oil finishes. It, however, is not made for extended exposure to water so a glass or plastic liner is needed. With this in mind, the vase is sized to fit a ½ liter water bottle. Cut the top off the bottle and sit back to enjoy your flowers. Once the flowers have passed their prime, simply remove the bottle and throw it away.
