8 5/8” W X 3 1/8” Deep This bowl is from a black walnut tree that blew down is a storm August 2024. This piece had a flaw at the rim which has been inlaid with brass to add additional interest and make it usable as a serving dish or as a distinctive lovely display piece.
The bowl has four coats of polyurethane finish that does not require addition of fresh oil as needed with a natural oil finish. While the finish is quite durable, it is highly recommended that either wooden or plastic utensils be used to avoid damaging the finish. The bowl is not dishwasher safe and cannot be used in a microwave without serious damage. It should not be used for extended storage. Clean up consists of hand washing in warm soapy water, rinse, dry and put it away.
